These include the Parque Florestal and Parque do Corgo. The parks inspire this flat as they’re places for socialising, fun, sports, leisure and relaxation for the whole family.
Nearby you’ll also find Nosso Shopping (shopping centre), Jardim da Carreira, the Pioledo bar area, the Vila Real Museum of Archaeology and Numismatics, the Cardoso and 259 restaurants, the Urban Ecology Agency and the Chapel of St. Lazarus a few streets down. You have the Corgo Walkways at your disposal for walking along the riverside and the cliffs of the River Corgo.
St. Lazarus, meanwhile, is the saint whose popular festivities in the area are celebrated in the middle of Lent (mid-March) but is sheltered from the typical hustle and bustle of any city thanks to its location.
By car, you have the Alvão Natural Park, the Casa de Mateus Foundation, the Natur Waterpark, the Sanctuary of Panóias and – the pearl of the region, a World Heritage Site – the Alto Douro Wine Region.
