In a magical place in the Douro, where silence and tranquillity allow life to slow down, lies our refuge surrounded by vineyards: Quinta do Enxertado.
The Douro, European City of Wine 2023 and a World Heritage Site since 2001, with its endless vineyards, marvellous cuisine and so many places to discover, is a real temptation for wine lovers. Due to the proximity of the accommodation, you can visit various estates, including Quinta do Beijo, Quinta do Vale da Ermida, Quinta do Vallado and many more.
For nature lovers and hikers, there is a beautiful route along the old Corgo railway line that can be walked or cycled for 25km between Vila Real and Régua. One of the stops is around 500 metres from Quinta do Enxertado.
About 1 kilometre away on foot, you’ll find the Corgo River surrounded by nature and the tranquillity of the area.
This is the place to close your eyes, take a deep breath and enjoy one of the most beautiful areas in the country.
Arrival at the lodge is via a path of around 400 metres that can be reached on foot or by jeep. Otherwise, cars should be parked in the square at the top of the path, next to the chapel belonging to Quinta da Timpeira. It’s important not to park out of the way and to think about what you want to buy for the house.
